Floating softly in my head this thought has been doing for a while, & now is the time I’ve chosen it needs to reach dry land:
Capturing the likeness of a person through a painted portrait bears quite a striking similarity to the art of penning a story about an individual for three apparent reasons:
1. Genuine skill is required to achieve the two crafts specified in teal in the underlined sentence.
2. One will undoubtedly be denied a continued future in their trade of choice if in fact one or more of their subjects if dissatisfied with their depicted image
3. Both the drawer & author attempt to portray the person in the most flattering light.
