In This Day & Age . . .

Call first before visiting a sick friend at home (or the hospital)! Or if you’re dropping by the house where a sick person lives to see someone else, take full advantage of this ultra-magnified communication era in which we’re so deeply immersed and call, text, email, fax, tweet or do whatever you need to do to GIVE ADVANCE NOTICE OF YOUR ARRIVAL.

I can’t tell you how many times I was caught in one part of the house because a person arrived unannounced and I was in no condition to see them, and thus was stuck wherever I happened to be at the time until the unexpected guest left. Bathroom, closet, bedroom, basement . . . you name any part of a house, chances are I’ve been trapped there at one time or another. No excuses, people! Let your intentions be known.

Clearly this picture shows it's not a good time for a visitor. Always call first!
